First off, and thanks to the Boomer Chronicles, we can tell you that "older" workers are becoming the norm and not the exception.

I retired from full-time work at 67, but I'm working as a part-time archivist at the school I've been working at for 17 years. I work 20 hours per week -- and I have summers and vacations off. I don't make much money, no benefits, but I really like what I'm doing. I'm a person who needs structured time. I do some volunteer work, too.

In this economy, however, as a single woman, retirements funds and SS/Medicare just don't cut it. I'm lucky I own my home!

I like your blog very much--and thanks for visiting Sacred Ordinary. I will add you to my blogroll.
