Thanks for stopping by my blog, I always appreciate comments.

I believe In-n-Out Burger is a California chain. People were really excited when it came out to Arizona and the lines are always long, but move fast.

That’s pretty cool. I’ve actually wondered about that. I’m not sure why.

  4. Rhea Says:

Going: Amusing for a nun, huh?
Neil: Me, too. Is it because we’re Jewish?

  5. Larry Says:

This was new to me, so I had to learn something today.

  6. Mr. Fabulous Says:

I bet God is a popular topic.

  7. rosemary Says:

I read one of those you listed. Sure different from the nuns that taught me.

  8. Carmi Says:

If you have nuns singing show tunes alongside Whoopi Goldberg, then I suppose nuns who blog wouldn’t represent a major stretch.

Wait, that was a movie? Pretend? Darn. Sorry about that. Bad habit of mine.

    Oops, there I go again…

    :)

  10. Rhea Says:

Larry: I try to be educational whenever possible. When I’m not being educational, I am weird.
    Mr. Fab: She sure is.
Rosemary: I bet. I grew up in a Catholic town and I heard STORIES about those nun/teachers!
Carmi: Was it Sister Act? Did ya have a senior moment?
    The Phoenix: Ha!

So happy Google Alerts picked up this discussion about Blogging Nuns and clued me into this Blog for Boomers. I am both a Boomer and and a Blogging Nun. My blog is titled “Contemplative Musings” but reached at the address: MonasticMusingsOSsR.blogspot.com. Our community is contemplative monastic (cloistered). I entered at the age of 55 which makes me just under the boomer designation. I was maried, raised three sons, was a techer and libarian and am now grandmother of two. I feel blessed to be standing astride the 1950s into the 21st century. Pleased to report that blog readership is growing and folk seem to be fed by the reflections and reportage that I publish there.

  12. Rhea Says:

Hildegard: Great to hear from you. Glad to hear your blog is appreciated by the masses.

  13. Nessa Says:

Who would have thunk it, but since I’ve seen priests do it, why not?

  14. Julie Q Says:

Who knew Nuns were so sassy?! I’m thinking they’ll turn to podcasts next.

  15. Joan Says:

Can’t wait to read what nuns have to say. I’m off to visit them now!

  16. Liz Says:

I can’t believe that so many nuns blog! I think the nerdy one is my favourite.

  17. Kay Dennison Says:

Way cool!!!!!!!!!! As a nice Catholic girl, I’m delighted to see this! You know I’ll be checking these out!

  18. Rhea Says:

Nessa: Actually, I never saw a priest blog.
Julie: I am sure they’ll do podcasts.
    Joan, Liz, Kay: Enjoy these!

  19. Sandy, csj Says:

    Rhea,

Thanks for the link to my blog…I noticed a spike in my blog stats, and I think you and your readers are responsible. I hope you are able to sell some of your screenplays…

    Am I the nerdy one?

  20. Rhea Says:

Sandy, good to hear from you at Nunsuch. I don’t know if you’re the nerdy one. All of you may have to fight over that honorific. (Hey, thanks about your hopes on my screenplays selling. I think they’re good and deserve the attention. Can you say some prayers for me? That could help.)

I used to read a blog by a monk. He was hilarious, but eventually had to quit blogging when he got really busy. I still miss him!
