Say Happy New Year with 100 Million Pennies

If you plan to be in Times Square, New York City, for the New Year’s Eve festivities tonight, check out the Penny Harvest Field, an exhibition featuring an estimated 100 million pennies, at Rockefeller Center. The exhibition closes tomorrow and the coins will be donated to charity. I was in New York over the weekend visiting family. Here is my photo:

    That is just the coolest idea! No one wants to carry pennies around and they just pile up. Why not make a public spectacle of it. Only in NYC????? Thanks for this.
