Three Companies Indicted in Pet Food Scandal

There’s good news. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration indicted three companies yesterday in connection with the pet food scandal of last year, when contaminated pet food caused pet illnesses and deaths. The companies are: Xuzhou Anying Biologic Technology Development Co. LTD., a Chinese firm that processes and exports plant proteins to the United States; Suzhou Textiles, Silk, Light Industrial Products, Arts and Crafts I/E Co. Ltd., a Chinese export broker that exports products from China to the United States; and ChemNutra, a Las Vegas, Nevada, corporation that buys food and food components from China to sell to U.S. companies in the food industry.

I’m glad to hear this. Too long have dogs been given nothing but the worst to eat anyway, at least someone is being held accountable for this.

Ah, the keyword here is ‘CHINA’. Read the labels and avoid China like the plague.
    Happy New Year!
