One-armed and Ready to Fly South

Thanks, everyone, for the sympathy on my arm. It is still sore and stiff but it works well enough that I am still going tomorrow to visit my good friend in Fort Worth, Texas. I told her that I am going to pack light — just a backpack — as I cannot drag a suitcase behind me with my bum arm. So I am going to leave home the toothpaste, shampoo, soap, hair dryer and extra changes of clothes. Here is what I am bringing:

One set of clothes, which I can wash there if I need to
a book to read
an iPod loaded with This American Life episodes
cell phone
pajamas
boarding passes (pre-printed at home)
money

We are going to eat chicken-fried stuff and white gravy and other Southern stuff. I might play Guitar Hero with her kids. We are going to get our eyebrows waxed. The fun never stops! Yay!
