This Cool Tool Helps You Find Out When Your Favorite Movies, Stars Will Be on TV Next
I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time — a way to find out when particular movies or stars are going to be on TV. I don’t necessarily want to plan out and get DVDs all the time. This tool is called LocateTV and I tried it out. I searched for Sarah Silverman, John Hurt, To Kill a Mockingbird, Office Space and Angelina Jolie. I found out that Sarah Silverman will appear in a film called Screwed (2000) on Feb. 22 on Starz 6 Comedy; John Hurt will appear in Alien today at 6 p.m. on Encore 4 Mystery; Mockingbird will be shown on Feb. 24 at 5:45 p.m. on Encore 2 Drama; Office Space will be shown Feb. 22 at 1 a.m. on 5 StarMax as well as at several different times on CineMAX; and Angelina Jolie will appear on True Hollywood Story on E! at 5 p.m. today.

For iPhone users, there is an awesome app called i.TV which tracks movie and TV listings and will let you filter by “favorite actor”. No desktop version yet, unfortunately.

Looks like a good thing for me. I only like to watch certain things and I like to DVR them so I can watch at my leisure and while I’m still awake.

That’s fun – I could get people to tape things for me. We have the first four seasons of Monk on DVD and Sarah Silverman was in one of the episodes of the second season. She was hilarious.
