In 5 Minutes You Can Help Your Aging Parents
I've Moved! The Boomer Chronicles has closed after 6 years, but you can keep up with me on my new blog at http://www.rheabecker.com
If you have aging parents — and don’t we all — there’s an interesting online resource called The Senior List. The site allows anyone to add and rate senior-related businesses anywhere in the U.S. The ratings are then available to all other users. I think this is a great idea. It’s sort of like travel sites that allow you to rate hotels, but, of course, senior-service ratings have much more riding on them. I checked out the Boston area since that’s where I live and it’s clear that the site is still young and lacking in reviews, but if word gets out, what a great resource this could be.
Chris Clark, co-founder and CEO of The Senior List, has spent the last 18 years working in health care. The Senior List originally launched in 2006 as a regional website to support a senior placement and referral service in Portland, Oregon. Interest was so high at the time that management felt they were on to something. Check it out.

The best support I found during a decade of caregiving was the Urban Medical Group in JP, MA.
What a difference it made in our lives and my Mother-in-laws health when we switched to their care model.

I know Urban Medical. Very cool to hear how good it was. It’s right in my hood.
