Summer Weekend Travel: Where Will You Go?

I don’t have a big trip planned for the summer but I do have many smaller weekend ones. Thus far, I will travel to:

New York City

Burlington, Vermont

Montclair, New Jersey (family reunion)

Western Massachusetts

New Jersey (a wedding)

Provincetown, Massachusetts (Cape Cod)

I would love to go to Europe but, like a lot of other people, I feel hesitant to part with a bunch of money with the way the economy is going.

I expect to hit NYC with a friend of mine for a Mets/Cubs game in September, and The White Mountains in October. That’s about it for any vacation plans this year.

Backyard is always a nice destination.

Just returned from the cruise from Boston to Bermuda so that is our big trip this year. Looking forward to a visit from my sister and the kids in July. Weekend plans include several visits to Vermont and maybe NYC.

    See you then, Christine!

Summer travel for us is from MN to WI and SD…camping, cycling, family. There’s lots to explore close to home.

Oh I would so love to spend a weekend in NY city, haven’t been there for a long time. Our summer will be mostly at the cabin up north and September and October will be in Greece with a side trip to Germany. Seems to have become a yearly thing now but that’s okay. Greece is glorious in the fall, much nicer than summer…

Staycations are the order of the year for us!

I will be at our cottage in southern New Hampshire off and on during the summer (when my niece and nephew are not there. They each have a week reserved) and visit my brother and sister-in-law in southern Maine for a week.

We have two small trips planned. One of my sisters is leaving in July for a two-year job teaching in England, so I would love to save enough money to take my family (of five!) over there to visit her while she’s there!

I must be crazy, not for the money, but for the trip with a child who will only be two when we go! ha ha

    1. Germany – by myself this year
    2. My brother’s house in NY state – to see the baby
    3. Georgia to celebrate my parent’s 50th
    4. Possibly NH

The trip to Germany only came about because I scored a decently priced ticket on a great airline. If I had to pay full price I wouldn’t be doing it.
