What I Will Do on the Next Rainy Day
I was planning to take a big bike ride this weekend, but then I heard it was going to rain both days. Damn. So now I’m thinking of what I can do instead. Here’s what I came up with:
Take old clothes to Goodwill
Buy a violin to replace the rented one I’ve been using
Read a bunch of magazines so I can clear out my reading pile
Continue reading Amy and Isabelle, the book I bought after I loved the author’s Olive Kitteridge
Work on my blog (as usual)
So, say you have a whole day off to do something. What would you do?

Rainy/snowy weekends are great for doing as one pleases.
It is a good time to catch up with friends – host a potluck – each person brings a dish. Maybe watch a movie together or play some games.
Catch up on my reading – a definite
Spend some time “just being” and relaxing
Sometime ago I would have added shopping – these days, not so much. I enjoy being indoors during rain/snow – cozy with a cup of tea, a comforter and a good meal. If I don’t have to go out in that weather, I won’t.

I just read that it just snowed around Stowe, Vermont. First time this season.

I for one love rainy days – perfect time to curl up with a good book (though any day is a good day for this), a cup of hot tea and a tasty scone (cookies will do in a pinch).
