Heroic Pilot Sully Flies Today

US Airways pilot Chelsey B. Sullenberger (Sully) has flown his first flight with the co-pilot from that fateful Miracle on the Hudson landing in January. According to USAir, the flight from New York’s  LaGuardia was uneventful except for the cheers and applause upon landing in Charlotte, N.C. Read the New York Times story on Sully.

    And why might this be important? It’s his job, isn’t it? Unless maybe you were expecting a revenge suicide attack by family and friends of the geese who caused him to ditch that plane in the Hudson? Not to take anything from his abilities or the deed but he was saving his own life in the process. I think that is pretty good incentive.
