‘Oh, My Aching Back’: Yoga to the Rescue
A few days ago I had an unnerving ‘old person’ moment. I had driven two hours from Boston to Cape Cod. When I got out of the car I was completely stiff and achy. I could hardly move! Hey, I’m only 48!
I realized it’s time to go back to yoga. The Svaroopa form of yoga is my favorite. It’s great for flexibility, the poses are simple and it’s designed to release old emotions that are lurking in your body.
Here is a site called Everything Yoga, where you can find lots of links to various yoga sites.
Here is an explanation of just a few of the many kinds of yoga, so you can choose the right one.
You may also want to visit Yoga Central for news about other tidbits about yoga.
Finally, there is a story at the ThirdAge site that explains how to choose the right yoga teacher.

Know the feeling. My back aches quite often along with the rest of my body. It doesn’t help that I have RA, but now old age is also paying a visit. Turn 50 in a couple short months.

Yoga has rescued my aging limbs lately…. and used to think it was for sissies, as I pounded my knees to destruction running! Great resources you link to, and just in case you haven’t seen this one, the Web site of Yoga Journal also has a few good pointers and videos to help with postures and Yoga style choices.
