A Republican Crosses the Aisle for Health Care

Republican Senator Olympia Snowe of Maine has voted to move the health care bill forward. I applaud Snowe for putting aside partisan politics. Read more about her vote at the Wall Street Journal.

Still, it’s not a package that will truly change health care in the ways it needs to be changed. Read what The Nation, a progressive publication, has to say about the bill.

    I would be inclined to say the committee’s work was bi-partisan if just one Democrat had voted against the proposal.
