My Dog Turns 5: A Retrospective in Photos
I've Moved! The Boomer Chronicles has closed after 6 years, but you can keep up with me on my new blog at http://www.rheabecker.com
My canine prince turns five years old today. Would it be pathetic for someone to:
ply a dog with expensive organic food and treats when he could just as well be gulping down Alpo?
wake up and sing Happy Birthday to the pup first thing in the morning?
leave ice cubes in his water bowl whenever the temperature rises?
drive him daily to a dog park in the next town so that he can enjoy a lot of off-leash time
Yeah, it would be. Anyway, here are a few photos of my dog at various periods of his life.

Happy birthday to the canine prince! As one who had been “drafted” into a dog’s life only recently, let me tell you, your list chronicling the pooch treats is not pathetic. In fact, it’s all about a dog’s life!

Congratulations on getting a pup, Maria. I hope you’re having fun. I’ve had mine since he was 9 weeks old.

Happy birthday to the royal prince! Our royal pup will be 1 years old on May 15, and our king of dachshunds 14 on July 31. I’ve been a regular at our dog park too since we’ve gotten the puppy – don’t know what people did without them.

How do you take care of his teeth? Our old dog’s teeth are in terrible shape, and I feel very guilty for not taking good care of them.
