Hate Your Job? You’re Not Alone

Did you know that lots and lots of people hate their jobs? According to a study:

Americans hate their jobs more than ever before in the past 20 years, with fewer than half saying they are satisfied. Workers age 45 to 54 have the second lowest level of satisfaction (less than 45 percent).

This is really sad that so many people hate their jobs. It doesn’t take much for the powers that be in any company to make their employees feel valued and challenged. And the rewards are higher productivity which benefits everyone.

It’s my experience that people don’t hate what they do..they just hate how middle management uses them to boost productivity so their rewards are bigger. I could write a dang book on this. ^j^

  3. Bice Says:

I hated my job too, till I quit it with no prospects some 13 years ago. I’ve never had a day of regret and can truly say I love what I do now even though I’ve never come close to what I was making back then.

  4. Doug Says:

My experience is similar to Bice’s. I left a more lucrative job that I hated a decade ago and have spent the last ten years making less money but feeling like I was doing the work that I was born to do.

Bice and Doug: You’re an inspiration to me.

Yeah, I often look at the balance between aggravation, time requirement, and income from a job. If aggravation is too high, then it ruins everything. It means the whole time I’m working I’m hating it and at some point, the money doesn’t cover the cost.
