Next Tuesday, April 10, The Boomer Chronicles will mark its 1-year anniversary.
I was going to let it pass without mention, but then I thought why not call attention to myself and ask readers to link to me? It would be such a nice gift and you wouldn’t have to spend even a penny or find out my shoe size.

What I want to know from those that read this blog is this: When you retire, whenever that happens to be, where and how do you want to live?
In your home?
In a retirement community?
In a commune?
Out of the country 6 months a year (Mexico)?
What is your idea of a great retirement?
Oh, and by the way, that memory thing? It is not a given that people lose their memory. It is that they don’t use their brains in a new way. Keep dancing.

Congratulations on your one year anniversary. I will definitely work hard to remember to link on Tuesday. When I’m done commenting, I’m going to put one of my handy dandy Post-it notes right in front of my face to remind me. Post-it notes = a baby boomer’s memory.

Rhea, If that’s what you’re calling yourself these days. Flashback – I was sitting in a blogstop in some god forsaken hole in Boomerland, when she stepped out of her RV and I knew without thinking too hard she was a blogworker. She sashayed over to me and asked, ” Would you happen to have a chocolate cigarette.” “Yeah, sure” I gave her my last one. After a few nibbles, she looked into my eyes and said “Will you link me” Why not, I’ve got nothing better to do at the end of the blogosphere. Jajika: I’d probably like to stay where I am, assuming that MY WIFE is still with me. If – God forbid – she were gone for any reason, I’d probably rather be someplace in the mountains of Northern New England. I do not EVER want to be in a retirement community, nursing home, or anything other than a place of my own.
