BloggingBoomers Carnival #27
Welcome to BloggingBoomers Carnival #27, the biggest, baddest weekly collection of information for baby boomers.
I am the host this week. Let’s see. What do we have for you? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Just kidding! Here’s the lineup:
Firecrackers are on Ron’s mind. Ron is the creator of the baby boomer reminiscence blog I Remember JFK who writes: Fireworks entranced me when I was a kid. When those booths started opening up in Miami, Oklahoma, in late June, I would hound my parents mercilessly to give me some money to go buy fireworks. Read the whole tale.
Fewer college-educated workers are heading into California. Gen Plus takes a look at what that could mean for 50-plus jobseekers.

Here’s some ‘brazen’ career advice for baby boomers you most certainly have not heard before, thanks to LifeTwo.
With life expectancy rising, baby boomers are worrying about — what else? — retirement money. Find the story at So Baby Boomer.
What’s your definition of a lifelong learner? How about Nola Ochs, who, at age 95, became the oldest person in the world to graduate from college. Head over to Contemporary Retirement to read Nola’s story.
Remember Heloise’s Hints? She lives on. She’s a baby boomer who lives in Texas. Read about Heloise at The Boomer Chronicles (that’s me).
Guest blogger Andrew at Lifecrafting.net says revamping your physical life is the key to overcoming depression and all sorts of other mental and physical ailments. Find out how you can get the healthy body you desire.

I love your blog and am putting it on my RSS feed and blogroll. I got my master’s degree in counseling when I was 50. I guess that doesn’t beat any records, but it has made my last 10 years far more rewarding. And I’m still going. I’ve been a boomer blogger for four months, and am still sorting through all the tools for finding and connecting with bloggers of similar interest. Like for example, what’s the blogboomers carnival, and how do I participate?
